I have always lived somewhere between two worlds.
I grew up in a conscious family and have been interested in spirituality, personal development and the subconscious for as long as I can remember. At the same time, I have always been fascinated by business: economics, productivity, organisations, people, and why some things work beautifully while others become unnecessarily complicated.
For much of my life, society seemed to treat these interests as contradictory.
When I was younger, I was very career-focused. I wanted to achieve, express myself, prove myself and see what I was capable of. Working in corporate and international business environments taught me the value of analysis, accountability, structure and action.
But it also kept bringing me back to deeper questions:
How much of what we call a decision or desire is really conscious – and how much comes from conditioning, fear or an old subconscious belief?
I never wanted to choose between spirituality and business. I wanted to bridge them.
To bring more heart, gut and inner intelligence into a mentally driven, action-oriented business world, without losing the tremendous value of rational thinking, structure and action.
Today, I am still a business consultant. I manage businesses and teams, solve problems, make decisions and build structures. I love clarity. And I love soul work.
In fact, I have come to believe that structure has an important place in our inner work too. Not as the opposite of intuition, spirituality or flow, but as a container that can help us explore what we are sensing, question what is driving us and bring inner awareness into the way we actually live.

When spirituality becomes another achievement or avoidance project
Over the years, I have noticed something deeply human and slightly ironic.
Sometimes we leave the achievement system – like a corporate career – and recreate exactly the same system in our spirituality.
We used to work harder to become successful. Now we meditate harder to become enlightened.
Underneath it all, the same message may still be running:
I am not there yet. I need to do more. Something about me still needs fixing.
And if the universe hasn’t delivered what I asked for, apparently even the universe thinks I am not good enough.
What an irony.
I say this with affection because I know what it is to strive. Striving can put on very beautiful spiritual clothing.
But I see the opposite pattern too.
In my consulting work, I meet holistic entrepreneurs with wonderful ideas and a genuine desire to make a difference. Yet sometimes visibility feels “too pushy,” marketing too commercial or structure too restrictive. We want growth, but reject some of the structures that could support that growth.
Sometimes that may genuinely be about trusting, receiving and allowing things to unfold.
And sometimes, if we look more closely, it may be avoidance.
The interesting question is: how do we know the difference?

Which voice are we actually listening to?
“Trust your intuition.”
Beautiful advice.
But which part of us is talking?
I believe deeply in intuition. I also believe that not everything we feel is necessarily intuitive guidance.
We carry history, conditioning, fear, emotional patterns and subconscious beliefs. Reactivity looks different in each of us too. For one person, the automatic response may be to fight, push and act. For another, it may be to withdraw the moment conflict or challenge appears.
One may need to pause. The other may need to step forward in the very same situation.
This is why “just follow your feeling” is not always enough for me.
I want spirituality to make me more discerning, not less.
I want to ask:
Am I responding to what is actually happening or repeating what I have always done because it feels familiar and “soft” in my body?
Is this flow or avoidance?
Is this decisive action or fear dressed as control?
Is this intuition or an old pattern that knows exactly how to sound convincing?
This is where structure becomes valuable in inner work.
Not because structure provides the answer.
Because it can help us ask better questions.

Why structure matters in inner work
This is one of the reasons Life Alignment has become so meaningful to me.
Life Alignment brings a structured process of inquiry into something profoundly individual. Through its system, including tools such as muscle testing, we can explore emotions, body signals and energetic patterns and become curious about what may sit beneath the issue our conscious mind presents.
Importantly, the structure does not dictate the answer.
It creates a framework in which an individual answer can emerge.
One person may need to become more assertive. Another may need to stop pushing. One may need action; another may need receptivity.
The structure is consistent. The person isn’t.
The purpose is not to fit the person into the method. The process meets the person.
For me, this is structure at its best: not rigidity or control, but a framework that allows us to explore ourselves more deeply and take greater responsibility for what we discover.

Head, heart and gut: A small practice for you
Our head is brilliant. It analyses, plans and understands consequences. I have built much of my professional life using precisely that intelligence.
But the mind is not our only source of information.
There is also the heart, when something makes perfect sense on paper and still doesn’t feel true.
And the gut, that bodily knowing that sometimes arrives before we can explain it.
Being General Manager of Life Alignment has given me a safe environment in which to explore these different forms of intelligence in a way I never had before. Working alongside Jeff has helped me trust myself more, while remaining humble enough to know that trusting myself does not mean I am always right.
So here is a small practice for the next time you face a decision.
Instead of immediately asking, What should I do?, ask:
What does my head say? What are the facts?
What does my heart say? What genuinely matters to me?
What happens in my body when I imagine each possibility?
And then one more:
What is familiar here?
Is this how I usually react when I feel afraid, challenged or uncertain?
Don’t rush to decide. Just notice.
Sometimes clarity begins with curiosity.
And structure does not always mean doing more. Sometimes conscious inquiry shows us that we need to act. Sometimes it shows us that we need to stop pushing, create space and receive.
I believe in action and I believe in flow.
The work, for me, is learning to recognise what this particular moment requires.

A legacy worth carrying forward
For decades, Life Alignment has developed across countries, cultures and generations of students. In a field where trends appear and disappear constantly, I don’t take that lightly.
What a gift Jeff Levin has brought into the world and what a responsibility for those of us helping to nurture it.
As General Manager, I see the organisation behind the modality. I see our teachers, practitioners, students, clients and the general community, and the knowledge and experience that has accumulated around Life Alignment.
Increasingly, I feel that my responsibility is not simply to protect that legacy.
It is to help it live.
To make Life Alignment more accessible without making it superficial. More visible without making it loud. Clearer without reducing its depth.
And I want us to talk more.
That is why, starting this October, we are adding a new dimension to Chat with Jeff. A structured space for our existing community, but equally for people who may be completely new to Life Alignment.
A place to explore the work, ask questions and consider how mind, body, heart and our deeper self can inform the way we live.
Sometimes wisdom emerges differently in conversation. The Chat with Jeff gives us a space to listen, ask, explore and perhaps discover a question we hadn’t thought to ask before.
The Chats are free and everyone is welcome. Look out for the upcoming dates on our website.

Perhaps curiosity is enough
If Life Alignment is completely new to you, you don’t need to understand everything before you begin.
Perhaps you experience a session with a practitioner. Perhaps you join us for a Chat with Jeff. Or, if you want to understand the system more deeply and learn to work with its tools yourself, the Foundation Course is where that journey begins.
Meaningful inner work doesn’t need to be pushed.
For me, spirituality isn’t about choosing intuition over intellect, flow over action or soul over ambition. And structure doesn’t sit on the other side of any of them.
At its best, structure gives us a conscious way to explore what is happening within us, discern what may be guiding us and bring what we discover into the way we live.
Perhaps alignment is having the capacity to hold all these parts of ourselves and enough awareness to recognise what this particular moment is asking of us.
That is one of the great gifts Life Alignment has given me.
And after all these years, I am still curious. I hope you are too.

VORTEX PRODUCT OF THE MONTH

Vortex Beam
The Vortex Beam is a Life Alignment tool designed to encourage healthy energy flow throughout the whole system, working through one carefully selected energy centre. Rather than focusing on a single area, it is used to support the body’s interconnected energetic system and promote greater balance and integration. During a Life Alignment session, a trained practitioner selects the energy centre most appropriate for the individual and gently places the Beam on that point. Many people experience a deep sense of calm and may notice greater balance, vitality and centredness during or after its use. As part of a personalised Life Alignment session, the Vortex Beam offers a structured approach to supporting relaxation, energetic balance and overall wellbeing.
